Ichina Umeko is a minor character of the Sky Pretty Cure Series. She is one of Robin's best friends. She had many minor appearances in Sky Pretty Cure and had an important role in Sky Pretty Cure ~Rainbow Star~.

In Rainbow Star 09, Umeko makes her own Pretty Cure outfit and calls herself Cure Orchid (キュアオーキッド, Kyua Ōkiddo^?), the Pretty Cure of blooming and flowers.

Etymology

Ichina (一な, Ichina^?) - Ichi (一, Ichi^?) means "one" and Na (な, Na^?) means "of".

Umeko (ウメ子, Umeko^?) - Umeko comes from Japanese Ume (梅, Ume^?) "plum" and Ko (子, Ko^?) "child". All together, her name means "Child of one plum".

Cure Orchid - Umeko's "alter ego" for the nijiiro cosplay day. It's based on both, the color and the flower.
