Wishing! Pretty Cure Star is a Pretty Cure Fan-series created by Sweetangel823. The main themes in the series are friendship, stars and personal worth.

Characters[]

Pretty Cures[]

Shinrin Yuko (森林しんりん友好ゆこ) / Cure Connection

Yuko is the de-facto leader of the team as she has a sort of natural authority. She's dependable, and more often than not takes on an organizational role in fights. She's an avid supporter of Cure Gloss, even before becoming a Pretty Cure herself. As Cure Connection, she represents the core part of the Constellation Canvas; Friendship. Her theme colour is coral.

Kirigawa Honoyo (桐川きりがわ炎世ほのよ) / Cure Warmth

Honoyo is arguably one of the most caring people you will ever come across. She's genuinely interested in other people, and loves being surrounded by her friends. Yuko sometimes jokes that Honoyo sees lonely people on the streets and adopts them to be her friends. While played up for jokes, it isn't too far off from the truth. As Cure Warmth, she represents Kindness. Her theme colour is pink.

Shimaki Kokoro (嶋木しまきこころ) / Cure Faith

Kokoro, much like Honoyo, is a very caring spirit. But where Honoyo is more indiscriminate and makes friends easily, Kokoro is a bit more reserved and aims her efforts towards those who are already around her. She stands as the school's anti-bullying student representative and takes this duty extremely seriously. As Cure Faith, she represents Loyalty. Her theme colour is teal.

Shimaki Rei (嶋木しまきれい) / Cure Spirit

Rei is a very headstrong and self-secure girl. She's one to quickly become passionate about new hobbies, but also has a tendency to tire of them at the same pace. She's athletic and is generally pretty dexterous, so she tends to do fairly well at whatever currently has tickled her fancy. As Cure Spirit, she's the orange cure representing Passion.

Sazaki Ayako (佐崎さざき恵子あやこ) / Cure Charity

Ayako is the resident baby of the group. She's the youngest not only among the cures, but also her friends, and this causes her to tend to be doted on a lot by those around her. She's thankful for all of this, but doesn't want them to think she doesn't appreciate everything that's done for her, so she tends to help out with whatever she can to lighten other people's loads. Her alter ego is Cure Charity. Her theme colour is green and she represents Generosity.

Saitou Ikiko (斎藤さいとういきこ) / Cure Brilliance

Ikiko is a very timid girl, who due to her particularly powerful psychokinetic ability is feared by many of her peers. As a result of this, she is generally very alone, but spends a lot of her free time at her parents' animal shelter, preferring the company of the animals over people. Her alter ego is Cure Brilliance, the cure representing Intelligence of the constellation canvas.

Amaya Hime (天谷あまやひめ) / Cure Bliss

Hime is one of the more polarizing figures in the school, where she's either really liked or really disliked by people around her. She is a bit on the selfish side, but this also extends to her friends. She wants to be happy, and she wants her friends to be happy, but isn't afraid to use some underhanded methods to that end. Her alter ego is Cure Bliss and she represents Joy.

Maki Youko (真黄まき踊子ようこ) / Cure Energy

Youko is one of the more laid-back people in Amanosaki Academy, while at the same time, being one of the strictest when it comes to certain topics. She seems to have endless amounts of energy which is also utilized most commonly in her favourite sport, dance, where she is an utmost perfectionist. She doesn't hesitate to spend hours upon hours to get that one move just right. As Cure Energy, she represents Health.

Hiramoto Hoshi (稲妻ひらもとほし) / Cure Gloss

Hoshi is, without a doubt, the most popular girl in school. Not only is her power a rare one - future sight - but many also (correctly) speculate that she is Cure Gloss because of the time related power. She is also genuinely kind and hardworking, and is more likely to lift others up than she is to take credit herself. She has been Cure Gloss for a couple years and has a well established group of fans even if she never interacts with them directly. Her theme colour is white, and she represents Time.

Mascots[]

Kirii (きりぃ)

Kirii is the main mascot of the series. She has a couple forms she alternates between depending on her mood. The main two she uses is akin to that of a small, white teddybear with some markings, while the other is similar to that of a dollsized human. In both of these forms, she is able to levitate in order to get around, but claims she prefers not to if she can help it. Her third form is that of a teenage human girl that she was able to achieve in order to blend in with the Cures. She has small amounts of illusion based magic.

Villains[]

Eilam (エイラム)

Eilam is the first villain to appear in the series. He has been fighting against Cure Gloss for a little while at the start of the series. He is partial to melee fighting, but has the ability to infuse his, already deadly, weapons with what he claims is the Great Spirits. Whether this is true or not is anyone's guess.

Ceranda (ケランダ)

Ceranda is the second villain to appear. They have an affinity for sweets, and tend to be rather easygoing, sometimes to the point of seeming careless, but they are actually fairly cunning and the casual act might be a way to lull the enemy into a false sense of security. They are able to shapeshift both themselves as well as inanimate objects.

Ulaqi (ウラーキー)

Ulaqi is the third villain to appear. She has a bit of a superiority complex and is rather arrogant. She's one of the more powerful of her kin, and this may have contributed to it.

Yaquela (イヤケーラ)

Yaquela are the monsters of the series. They can be created from weakening Heartful Connection Cores by all above villains, and often take the monsterous form of things in the vicinity.

Minor Characters[]

Shinrin Kaito and Miwa - Yuko's parents

Kirigawa Mimori and Jin - Honoyo's parents

Kirigawa Naruki - Honoyo's older brother

Shimaki Ario and Abe Momoko - Rei and Kokoro's parents (divorced)

Miyamoto Mia - Rei and Kokoro's stepmother (Ario's new fiancee)

Locations[]

Amanosaki Academy (天ノ咲学園 Amanosaki Gakuen?)

Amanosaki Academy is the cures' school.

Akegata Town (明け方タウン Akegata Taun?)

Akegata Town is the cures' home town and the main setting for the series.

Items[]

The PreMirrors (プリミラー PuriMiraa?)

The PreMirrors are the transformation items of the cures in the series. They are surrounded by a veil of magic, which alters the appearance of the item in it's dormat form to suit each cure. In it's activated state, the PreMirrors are the centerpiece of the wings on each girl's hair accessory.
PreMirrors can be used by everyone to become a Cure-like self, however, even if those who use the PreMirror without being a real cure becomes equally strong, the transformation is undone rather quickly, as well as the powers of the user's main Core Connection is drained. If someone who isn't a cure uses the PreMirrors too much, then their main Core Connection can break.

Heartful Connections (真心のキズナ Magokoro no Kizuna?)

The Heartful Connections, commonly referred to as Connections (キズナ Kizuna?) either in Japanese or English, are the physical manifestations of the bonds between two people. When one creates a relationship, a new Connection is created, and the vibrancy and colour of this Connection depends on the nature and strength of the relationship between the two it connects. Each person has a Core which all Connections are connected to, and the colour of this central piece depends on what part of the constellation canvas that person is most inclined towards. The vibrancy of the Core also represents how secure that person is in themselves as people. They all also faintly glow. A Pretty Cure's Core can easily be distinguished by the far brighter light it sheds.
Should the core be weakened, it can be further tainted by the antagonists of the series, through the process of summoning the Yaquela.

Constellation Canvas (コンステレーションカンヴァス Konsutereeshon Kanvasu?)

The Constellation Canvas is a multidimensional network of all Heartful Connections, and is the physical manifestation of social life as we know it. It is the source of all social interaction. As the manifestation of all the relationships in the universe, it is immensely powerful and is the source of the magical powers that civilians in Wishing! Pretty Cure Star posesses. It is also the source of the Pretty Cures' powers.
When the Parts of the Constellation Canvas are referred to, it refers to the eight "main" categories of core heartful connections; Kindness, Loyalty, Passion, Generosity, Intelligence, Joy, Health and Time. There is a ninth category, Friendship, though these cores of Heartful Connections are incredibly rare.

Forms of Pretty Cure[]

First form is the form that the Cures have in the first fights, and is their basic design. All the uniforms have the same basic structure, but in their own separate colours.

Complete form is the second form that the Cures have in this series. The Complete form is a lot more detailed, and every design is more individual for each Cure. The cures are faster, stronger, and has higher defence. Their magic are also a great deal stronger.

Celeste form is the final form that the Cures uses in this series. They achieve it in the final battle, by almost losing, and still not giving up. The Celeste form is different for every Cure, and each design represents the cure that are wearing it. The Celeste Form grants the Cures the power of Celestine, the goddess of constallations.

Plot[]

In a world where everyone has a small amount of magical energy they can utilize in their daily lives, and where the Legendary Warriors Pretty Cure have been documented to go back decades, few people worry about potential threats. Pretty Cures are viewn as the very best parts of society, both respected and admired by many. Their numbers have varied over the years, and currently, the only known active one is the Time-based Cure Gloss who has been active for a couple years.

Shinrin Yuko is your average 15-year-old with big dreams and a happy life. She is an avid supporter of Cure Gloss, and tries to help out whenever she can with evacuating people from the fight zones. She never intended to become more than just a support for her hero, but unbeknownst to her, on one faithful day when she stumbles across another very special girl and the two get attacked by a huge monster, that is about to change.
