Diana (ダイアナ Daiana) is one of the main mascots in Sky! Precure on the Clouds!, the other being her twin brother, Apollo. Diana is a koala-like fairy from Skylar, who came to the land looking for the Pretty Cure. She ends her sentences with "~ana".
Appearance[]
Diana is a koala-like fairy with lemon yellow fur, white ears and belly and indigo blue eyes.
In her human form, Diana is a short teenage girl, with lemon yellow hair, worn in a messy side ponytail.
Personality[]
Diana is very calm, elegant, gentle and inteligent. She always thinks a lot before doing anything and is very good to make strategies. Diana is also very intuitive, and is very skilled at seeing potential.
History[]
Diana and her twin brother, Apollo, were born in Skylar. The twins soon befriended the kingdom's princesses, Yasu and Aya, and their neighbor, Tsubasa. The five of them were always together, and learned how to paint the skies together, as well. As they grew older, their bond weakened, since Yasu and Aya had too many responsibilities with their kingdom.
One day, King Akio announced that a dangerous comet was approaching the kingdom, and asked the people to be careful. The Pretty Cure were summoned to try and stop the commet. However, because the kingdom was usually so peaceful, the event caught the warriors unprepared, and they had to give their lives in order to save it.
Yasu, who had fallen in love with one of the cures, was heartbroken with the death of her beloved. Diana showed concern for the princess, but was too afraid to comfort her, feeling that it would only worsen her grief, and decided it was best to let it be.
One year after the comet, King Akio passed away, leaving Yasu even more depressed. Since she was the oldest daughter, she would assume the throne and be the next ruler. During her coronation, Diana tried to talk to her, but she no longer considered her a friend. She then proclaimed that she would use her powers to stop the moon and sun from rising ever again, and threatened to arrest anyone who opposed her. Yasu was in fact under influence of Noboru.
Aya then tried to stop her older sister and engaged on a battle with her, consequently expelling her from the kingdom. However, some fairies such as Tsubasa were supportive of Yasu, and decided to join her army, which was known as Eclipsa.
Abilities[]
Transforming into a human: Diana has the ability to turn into a human girl.
Sky painting: Like all fairies, Diana is able to paint the skies.
Light power: Diana can manipulate the light within her heart.
Finding potential: She can easily sense the presence of light power inside others, which is useful to find the cures.
Etymology[]
Diana is the Roman name of the Greek and Roman goddess of the moon, hunt, virginity, animals, women and wilderness.
