Akahana Jennifer (赤花ジェニファー Akahana Jenifā) is the main Cure of Return! Pretty Cure. Jennifer is a very intelligent student and part of the student council. She has a calm voice and usually is not loud. She isn't strong friends with her fellow Cures, but has a relationship with Samantha. She isn't too popular, since she has a "circle of friends", as she calls it. Her alter ego is Cure Sakura (キュアサクラ Kyua Sakura).

Higure Samantha - Jennifer and Samantha have a strong relationship with each other and is Jennifer's only friend of the Cures.

Cure Sakura (キュアサクラ Kyua Sakura) is Jennifer's alter ego. Her powers are related to flowers, especially cherry blossoms. Sometimes, when she fights, she remembers scenes of her past, but cannot understand what they mean.

Etymology
Akahana (赤花) - Aka (赤) translates to "red", the first color of the rainbow and a similar color to scarlet and pink. Hana (花) translates to "flower", a reference to Cure Sakura's powers.
Jennifer (ジェニファー) - Jennifer's name means "fair and smooth" and is also the name of the person this character is based off of.
Cure Sakura (キュアサクラ) - Sakura is the Japanese name for cherry blossom, a reference to both Cure Sakura's powers and her past self.
