Rei Shimaki (嶋木しまき霊れい) is one of the main characters of Wishing! Pretty Cure Star. She is a very competitive, but fair, girl who transforms into Cure Spirit (キュアスピリット) represents Passion.

As Cure Spirit, her hair is tied up into a parted side ponytail fastened by a large, orange ribbon with a darker orange stripe as well as two dark orange ties, a white pair of wings and the PreMirror. Her hair is considerably longer than in her civillian form, and it's also wavy and bright orange. Her eyes are teal with a purple gradient. She wears dark orange earrings.

She wears the same uniform as the other Cures, but in her signature orange colours. She wears a dark orange choker, and her sleeves consist of a pair of dark orange straps as well as a shorter white off-shoulder cape. On her chest is an orange bow with darker orange stripe with a golden heart brooch placed in the middle. The uniform consists of a top and a skirt, with the main colour of the top being slightly darker than the skirt. The front of the top has a golden trimmed panel with a golden emblem resembling a flame at the bottom and some golden beads at the top. The skirt consists of two main layers. The top layer is mainly monotone, but has a darker orange trim around it and it is open in the front, revealing the lower, five-layered ruffle skirt layer. There is also a big dark orange bow with a stripe the same colour as the main part of her top fastened at her small back. She also wears a pair of bracelets with orange ties.
